Saturday October 26, 2024 1:00pm - 2:30pm PDT
125
In this workshop teachers will learn a brief history of graffiti for context, and learn how to teach a graffiti lesson through a social justice/political lens by looking at different graffiti examples from different time periods. Participants will determine if the graffiti examples fight social injustice or cause harm to the community. By analyzing graffiti, we will also build on our critical thinking, writing, and discussion skills. Teachers can teach this lesson by using graffiti from their local areas.
