Reclaiming Our Education: WA NAACP Youth Council Voices on Ethnic Studies
Saturday October 26, 2024 10:30am - 12:00pm PDT
247
As attacks against ethnic studies and Critical Race Theory rise nationwide, youth organizers and allies are not backing down, just as they didn’t in the late 1960s when they won the first ethnic studies departments. In this interactive workshop, BIPOC youth give their perspectives on ethnic studies. You will learn about possible lesson plans, listen to BIPOC youth voices and experiences, and learn how you can implement and advocate for ethnic studies.
