Award-winning multimedia educational theatre company Living Voices combines dynamic live performance with archival film to turn history into a moving, personal journey. This workshop features a presentation of La Causa, which highlights the grassroots migrant farmworkers movement of the 1960s. Facilitated pre- and post-show discussions engage audiences to make connections between the history and our world today, including the farmworker justice activities of WashMasks Mutual Aid, founded by presenter Ana María Campoy.
Living Voices company performer Ana María Campoy is a Chicana theatre artist, educator, engagement consultant, and activist. Outside the arts, she works with WashMasks Mutual Aid, focusing on farmworker justice (@washmasks).
